Having a healthy weight doesn’t just keep you healthy; it also makes you look good. And looking good brings confidence. It improves self-esteem. In order not to gain a few pounds or more after getting to your ideal weight, you shouldn’t get complacent. If you do, weeks or months of hard work shall be for naught. You should exercise regularly. Stay physically active. Exercise is also good for your skin by the way. Maintain a healthy diet. Don’t skip breakfast; your metabolism may be altered if you do so. This is one reason why people gain weight, the body’s metabolism get slower for people who skip breakfast. Consult your nutritionist on the necessary changes in your diet such as calorie intake once you reach your ideal weight. And for people who lose weight in a short period, the chances of gaining weight are much higher.

Nail Care And Tips

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Are you among those women who worry too much on chipping and breaking their fingernails? Let us give you some economic tips:

Put garlic on your nails and it will make them longer and stronger. If you have long nails, poke the garlic cloves using the tips of each of your nail. Or you can either smash or chop the garlic and gently apply on to them.

After you do your manicure, let the polish dry for at least a minute, and run cold water over them for about 15 seconds. This leaves your polish dry.

If you love applying colored nail polish, give your nails some rest without it. Let them breathe for sometime as regular applying of nail polish makes them yellowish.

    Ice Treatments

beauty2.jpgI used to do this way back my college years whenever my eyes are swollen. It’s a beauty secret that I would always love to share with everyone since all you need to do is get some ice in your fridge. After a good bath, grab a towel, place some ice on it, and let it stay for a minute in your eyes. Repeat the procedure until you get the desired effect. Yes, the sensation is different but it’s all worth it. And you’ll see the difference too – from puffiness to glamorous.

Also, I do rub some ice on my face for some pink cheek effect. No more blush on needed. Ready to go.
